EIGHT OF SWORDS

THE SWORD OF FATE:

A woman, the anima, the soul of man is being split in half by the Sword of Fate. When this happens, the soul is put to death and the Collapse of the consciousness takes place. Schizophrenia, the Supreme act of desperation and self mutilation could be the outcome. All disease, all despair and all of our defeats are self induced.

If men were only able to face themselves, to be honest with Themselves, they would make the best of themselves.

THE WOMAN:

The anima, the soul of man is about to be split in two by the Sword of Fate.

THE SWORD:

The sword is our own ego, our lack of honesty and integrity.

THE INFINITY SIGN:

These things happen again and again in life, until we attain illumination.

THE RISING SUN:

Although defeat is at hand, the sun of hope is rising in the dark night of the human soul, offering the salvation of its golden rays of light.

VALUE OF THE CARD:

Self torture. Suicide. Loss of will to live. Ambivalence. A need to recover the joy of living. All is not lost. A need to overcome pride and narcissism, and to mobilize the human resources. A need to recover faith in self and in life. Things are coming apart. A severe mental or emotional crisis could be in the making.
