- Greg Waters formed his first group when he was in High School playing at local dances and concerts. However, his love for classical music and music composition placed him in many different musical relationships. So he was not always concentrating on his small group activities in his early training and experience, but at the same time was developing his quartet experience while still in High School.
He formed groups in all the different cities he lived in: Milwaukee, Chicago, Dallas, Toronto and New York City.
Greg believes his most creative period was when he
was living in Troronto, However, Greg likes to perform with New York Musicians
best and has been living in NY for the last 17 years. Greg has produced
two jazz LP albums which have received outstanding reviews and you can
read them on his resume page. In the last two years he has produced over
50 TV Shows using his quartet as the home-base group. The instrumentation
is usually guitar, bass and drums. Sometimes a trumpet or trombone will
be added and latin percussion depending on the style of the job and purpose
of the performance. Greg Waters deals mostly in jazz and classical forms
of music and his instruments are mostly Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone and Flute
(he plays some 15 woodwind instruments). Greg has performed local dances
to evant-garde concerts with his group. You can help Mr. Waters by bringing
